The Beauty of Language

Day 28 of the 30 days of blogging Challenge - Cruise the thesaurus and pick out 10 words that you like the sound of.
I had to post this Star Wars themed Alphabet. Click to enlarge.

Today's blog topic reminds me that Pablo Neruda once said that the word "golondrina" was the most beautiful word in the Spanish language. Not for meaning, just for the way it sounds and visual affect. I want to add a few more than just the ten and jot down a word for each letter:

A- acroteleutic
B- butyric
C- cacoepey
D- dithyramb
E- epeirogeny
F- fringilline
G- gramicidin
H- halcyon
I - ignominious
J- jelutong
K- kelpie
L- lambrequin
M- mercurial
N- negligée
O- opaque
P- paragoge
Q- quixotic
R- requiem
S- senectitude
T- tintinnabulate
U- uxorial
V-vicissitude
W- wassail
X- xerarch
Y-yom
Z- zeugma

There are some favorites for me in that list:

halcyon, ignominious (who could ever forget Korihor's ignominious death?), mercurial, quixotic, vicissitude.

Words are awesome.
