There is only one food that I continually crave...MEAT any kind and any cut. Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and occasionally fish. I love to grill it, broil it, smoke it, slow cook it, fry it, and any other way that makes it oh so tasty. As one culinary savant put it "Meat is the only thing worth eating, the rest is just wasted real estate". Ok, maybe I don't agree wholeheartedly with that line...I wish I did, really I do, but I know better than to think that I could live off of flesh alone, or even as a major centerpiece of every meal.
The beauty of a craving is that your appetite for the thing is never fulfilled, and that is why you crave it. If I were to have a nice big steak every day, the T-bone would lose it's charm, the glory of a great set of ribs would tarnish, the crisp charred yumminess that is a rotisserie chicken would be lost, and I would be left with a fat belly, notedly content, but with no desire for more.
So I will continue to feed my craving and enjoy every moment of it...with moderation.
